Can you earn money by blogging?

Reality check first — you can earn money by blogging, but you first have to develop a userbase first. That means writing GREAT or unique content that people will actually want to read — and then monetizing that traffic through advertising.

But without content, you won’t have traffic. Traffic or readership takes a while to build so if you need money right now, blogging is not the answer. Blogging is not a magic pill where you start a blog today and earn dollars tomorrow. Some blogs see income months after they started blogging, unless you have a blog that will take off immediately because of your compelling content

Think first of what you want to write about, and then market it like crazy and then you can earn money by blogging

One of the most common way of earning money from blogs is through advertising and donations. Here are some ways you can earn money from your blog:

Text link ads – you can sell for fixed price for a fixed period of time
Donation (yes, you can beg)
Affiliate programs such as Commission Junction and the Amazon Associates program

i agree with what the guy above said, blogging pays you in the long run you can’t simply form a blog and think it will turn your fortune. for that you have to work hard.

You can definitely make money blogging. But it will take a lot of TIME and HARD WORK. There’s no ‘easy-money’ left on the Internet…

Once you have an interesting BLOG developed… you’ll spend most of your time trying to build traffic and improving the ‘popularity’ of your site. The end goal is to gain high search engine positions and drive visitors to your site.

It’s a long process– and you’ll have to do a lot of research and put tons of hours in. If you love being on your computer… then it could be a good move. Otherwise, don’t waste your time…

Yes, a lot of people make extra money from blogging. It does take time and work to build a loyal reader base, but its pretty easy and anyone can do it. The best strategy is to build a network of blogs because sometimes doing the same thing over and over can get boring.
