How to Play Guitar Chords – A Walk-Through For Beginners
One of the first things you do after picking up the guitar is learn how to play guitar chords. A guitar chord is made up of two or more notes played simultaneously. Though there are many different types of chords, they can all be categorized as either Major chords or Minor chords.
There are six strings on a normal guitar, each having its own designated note. The first string is an E. This is the thinnest string which also has the highest pitch. The strings get progressively larger around and lower in pitch: B, G, D, A, and E again. The sixth string (also an E) is the thickest and, therefore, the lowest note of them all. Many guitar players learn these notes with the help of mnemonic devices. For instance, memorizing from the top down (E, A, D, G, B, E) is more difficult than memorizing such phrases as Eat All Day Get Big Easy.
You can play any of these notes without even touching the fret. Those are called open notes. However, if you want to learn how to play guitar chords, then you’ll have to learn which strings to play on which sections of the fret board. Chords have a much richer sound than do open notes; they are what guitarists use to strum familiar tunes.
American music most frequently employs the Major chords. A couple of the more famous ones are the C Major, A Major, and G Major chords. To play the C Major, you would put your index finger on the first fret of the second string, your middle finger would on the second fret of the fourth string, and you would then place your ring finger on the third fret of the fifth string. Once you have accomplished this, practice by strumming between the first and fifth strings. Viola! A guitar chord!
As previously mentioned, there are lots and lots of guitar chords out there. You may want to practice the most useful ones before attempting something more difficult and less familiar. Remember, learning how to play guitar chords is not easy. It takes commitment of time and energy. So be patient and let yourself have fun as you learn.
A Few Things You Need to Know About Your Credit
Very few people can manage to stay debt-free these days. It is not easy to pay cash for new cars, homes or education. Small or large businesses also depend heavily on credit. There are many people overwhelmed by debt, because very few know how to use credit properly. Nevertheless, if used carefully, credit can be a useful tool to build a fortune.
Statistics show American people have more than 1 billion credit cards with more than $900 billion in outstanding balances. Federal Reserve statistics show average credit card debt grew three times since 1990. 20 years ago one household had $3,000 debt, while these days average debt is $9,600. And this is only credit card debt: there are also mortgages, loans and other debts.
Lot of people doesn’t have full understanding on how credit system works, or how their lives are affected by their credit history. A bad credit history these days not only influences the interest rate when you apply for a loan, but it can also affect your personal life, the chances to get a job, apply for housing and insurance.
Your credit report is the first thing a lender consults when you apply for a loan. Based on this credit report, the lender can assess what is your credit risk, in other words: what are the chances you will repay the loan? The credit report also affects the interest rate you will get.
If you haven’t run up your credit card balance, then your credit risk is low. But if you were late a few times with your payments, or never had any credit, then your lender will be more suspicious, and if they give you the loan, they will charge you more interest.
In the United States there are three credit reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Lenders use one of these credit bureaus, so before you are applying for a loan, it is a good idea to check your reports, to be sure they are accurate. Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act allows people to have one free credit report a year from each credit bureaus.
Your payment history and accounts stay on your report for seven years, but if you had bankruptcy, you can expect that to stay on the report for ten years. There may be errors in your report: in this case, you can ask in writing for it to be corrected. There is also the possibility to explain certain special circumstances. For example, if you filed for bankruptcy because a huge medical bill, you can write a few lines about that.

WordPress Rates High For Content Management System (CMS)
All websites, regardless of what type they are, have one thing in common. Every site must have CONTENT, CONTENT, CONTENT! No matter if you are an online store, a photo gallery, a blogger, an online newspaper or e-zine, your site will not succeed without quality, informative content.
Content is simply what makes up your site. Just as you need the correct ingredients added in the right order to make a recipe, so you need content on your website. You want to be able to create a site with just the right information in the right amount at the right place. Do this, and you will conquer the world of CMS, also known as Content Management System.
When you cook, you may have many options, but the microwave is always the quickest. And so it is with WordPress – it is always the quickest when it comes to managing your content. With WordPress you can add content quickly and efficiently.
WordPress has several advantages, but one of the main ones is that it gives you the ability to choose pages vs. posts within your content. A page is where you store static information. This might be information about the company or the blog owner, a sign up form, a contact page, or a privacy policy. These are there to greet your visitors and are not meant to be changed. They are static.
Post pages are created for either a single or multi-post format. You can choose categories, archives or multiple posts to be displayed. Their purpose is to change – NOT remain static. They should be updated with new information regularly.
Another advantage of WordPress is that you are able to have a static home page with your post pages behind it. Your visitors will always see this same home page when they visit your site. Then they can click within your site for other articles and updated information.
A third great feature of WordPress is the site administration; it is very user friendly. As the owner of the site, you can easily access the control panel and make your own changes. You can set it up to have several writers as well as site administrators or site accounts. In other words, it is very flexible and easy to use.
Lastly, WordPress can be easily altered to make the site uniquely yours. You can add widgets and plugins, change themes, and add other options such as an online store, comment cards, or even polls. Plus, it is easy to add advertisements and links for your Affiliate Products as well as Google AdSense.
No matter the type of site you choose to build, you will find that WordPress is your best choice for easy content management. WordPress offers endless possibilities.
How to Get Your Broken Relationship to Work Again – How to Get Your Ex Back in Your Life
A personal relationship is the centerpiece of our life. It is the basis for our being, and it also impacts our external life and activities. We all strive for happiness and harmony, but without healthy and stable personal life- most of us become very discouraged and start drowning in the pool of negativity and despair.
To find a happy and fulfilled relationship is not an easy task, but what is even more challenging is to maintain the relationship (once you are in it) and keep it going strong from day in and day out. We all experienced the thrill and excitement from the initial stage of a romantic relationship. It seems all perfect and flawless. The truth is that nothing is perfect, and no person, situation or relationship for that matter would be the exception to that. There is a big difference between working out great when everything around is great and working out great when things are on a sour side and when real life problems come up. The true strength and quality of any relationship can be only proven through the times of problems and difficulties. This is why I could not emphasis more how important it is to work on your relationship to make it a long lasting and joyful alliance.
Now, while some people seem to be strong enough to get through their occasional relationship issues, some seem to be lost in what the real issue might be. There are numerous factors for that, but one that stands out the most is poor communication and failure to hear the other party’s side. It is very easy to get caught in the destructive cycle of constant misunderstandings and build up hurt feelings. To avoid such a trouble, sometimes it is good to step away for a moment and get an unbiased opinion of the professional. Not only it may help to see things from a different angle, but it can also organize a chaotic order of mixed emotions and clear up a lot of things.
Having said that, always be wise with your selection of professional relationship counseling options. A lot of people feel very timid and uncomfortable spilling their heart out to the stranger when talking face to face. Also, most of us resent the idea of family counseling practices where you do the pre-structured laying on the couch therapy session as it simply makes most feel helpless and embarrassed.
Fortunately, with today’s new technology making it possible for on line services of any kind, we can address our personal problems in a less exposed way, yet enjoy the benefits of very personal and experienced relationship advising- all done through on line service in a comfort of your own home or place of choice.
So if you are experiencing troubles in your personal life and can not pull it all together on your own- do not give up. There is help out there, and it is within a reach of your hand. Spend some time researching your options, and ask for help.
A Lightweight Wheelchair Can Be Used For Traveling
Lightweight wheelchairs can make traveling and getting around a lot easier for a disabled person and their loved ones. Travel wheelchairs are designed to be easy to use, lock into folding position to fit into a smaller trunk, and can handle rough terrain such as grass or gravel. While an ultra light wheelchair sounds like a dream for a lot of disabled persons, it may not be the best fit for some. It is important for a consumer to know whether he or she will be comfortable using travel wheelchairs before looking into purchasing a model.
Many travel wheelchairs are manual wheelchairs. They may have a weight capacity that they can handle which a consumer should research before thinking of purchasing a specific model. There are also lightweight wheelchairs which have a light battery and are powered. These ultra light wheelchairs do not have a full sized battery like most power wheelchairs but are still able to provide assistance without a person having to manually gain momentum. Travel wheelchairs that are motorized are also known to be extremely easy to maneuver in tight situations.
They are smaller in size and can usually only hold a person up to 250 pounds in weight. Most lightweight wheelchairs are folding wheelchairs or can be broken down into pieces for transport. Although some of the travel wheelchairs that have batteries may be heavier than manual ultra light wheelchairs, they are still light enough in weight to be lifted into the trunk of a car for transport. Since the battery is smaller in size than an average powered wheelchair, travel wheelchairs that are motorized can generally only make it about 12 miles before the battery needs to be charged.
Ultra light travel wheelchairs can be a great purchase for a disabled or elderly person. They make transportation much easier and can be used in many different situations, no matter how small or tight the turns may be. Lightweight wheelchairs can make a person feel more independent and free because he or she can generally use the device without help from others. The user can also usually experience new situations and destinations because traveling is made much easier with the help of a folding wheelchair.
Many travel wheelchairs are much cheaper in price than full sized wheelchairs. A consumer should keep in mind that this is because these chairs are not meant for everyday, all day use. The chairs are great for excursions or shopping but the smaller seat and lighter stature may not be comfortable for a disabled person who will be in the chair all day long.
If travel wheelchairs with batteries are purchased, a consumer should also keep in mind that the battery is smaller and less functional than a full sized battery. It may not last as long or have as much power as an average sized wheelchair’s battery would. There are many types of travel wheelchairs and the consumer should decide where and how often he or she will be using the wheelchair before deciding which one to purchase.
Acting on What Really Matters in Strategy Execution!
With so many strategic initiatives failing, it is clear there is a chasm between what is said and what actually happens – too much talk and not enough action. Hollow promises of sharper execution and new executive talent appear in the news with tedious regularity – as if it were the latest breakthrough in management thinking. New initiatives fail because managers use flawed approaches to follow through.
But if execution is so critical to success, why don’t more companies take a disciplined approach to it? Why do many businesses put so much effort into crafting the “perfect” strategy and then screw it up with a slapdash approach to execution.
Countless strategies are designed without taking into account the organisations ability to execute it. Strategy tends to be restricted to a few senior managers and not widely shared. Classically, it is too abstract and too shallow. As a result, it is poorly understood by the people who have to implement it.
A basic problem with execution is that managers know more about planning than doing. Managers are trained to plan, not to execute plans. More often than not, the separation between planning and doing is problematic. Managers behave as if “doing” requires less intelligence than “planning.” It is common to hear the doers described as “grunts” – people who are less intellectually gifted than the planners. The unspoken message is clear – “doing” is not a noble pursuit.
What is more, companies focus on too many things simultaneously. No company can concentrate on more than three or four critical issues at one time. Attempting to focus on more is a widespread problem. Any manager who says he has ten priorities to juggle with has lost sight of what the important issues are.
The simpler the view of what you have to do, the more focus you will have. The best performers in any field are those who see what they do as simple in nature – but difficult at the same time. Take a marathon, for example. The runner starts and doesn’t stop until he has completed 26.2 miles. It is simple – but it is not easy.
Execution failure is not a single shattering event. It doesn’t happen overnight. Just because nothing bad happens in week two or month two of a programme, doesn’t mean that disaster is not on its way. Execution failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day – eventually leading to an execution debacle.
Execution success comes from doing ordinary things exceptionally well. The problem is that these simple disciplines are easy not to do. Time after time, this is the root cause of the mess we see in execution.
Four basic disciplines create a solid platform for execution success. These are:
- Clear direction on the relevant business issue
- The right people in the right place
- Rational plans
- Effective Controls
Clarity on the business issue
Being precise on the critical issue is vital to success. This clarifies expectations and eliminates the vagueness that people get away with in everyday conversation. Objectives and outcomes need to be succinct. They should be written down unambiguously. People involved in the execution process should not be required to read between the lines.
Company announcements on vital programmes are frequently couched in long and flabby nouns of generalised meaning. Language is congealed and we don’t feel inclined to read it.
Written plainly and simply, clear expectations and specific outcomes are the first critical step in creating a successful execution plan.
The right people in the right place
Leaders don’t usually think very hard about choosing the right people for the right jobs. They don’t always have accurate views about what some of the key execution jobs involve and what kind of people they need. As a result, leaders end up with pedestrian managers leading vital teams – managers with “ready aim-aim-aim syndrome” who struggle to make the right decisions.
If you want a team that performs well, you need to match people to each task. The most suitable person to sing the tenor part in an opera is the tenor. No one would think about asking a baritone to tackle the tenor part. This is common sense? Yes, it is sense – but not that common.
Meaningful Plans
Milestones bring a strategy to life. Yet it’s still surprising how many major “plans” are described in a few hazy paragraphs accompanied by a worthless Bar Chart. You wouldn’t accept a quote from a builder that said “House – 12 months, 500,000 pounds” would you? You would need a lot more information. With such a low level of detail, it’s unlikely that the builder would understand it himself. But if the builder could provide a weekly breakdown of key activities, everyone would have a clearer understanding of what needs to be done and by when.
Creating a plan breaks things down into manageable chunks but also forces everyone to think through what they need to do and how their work fits in with others. This is a critical part of making things happen.
Effective Controls
The failure to follow through is widespread in business and a major cause of poor execution. You have to have meaningful controls and a dynamic review process. An execution culture relies on robust debate – and this means a climate where there is a frank and open exchange.
Realism is at the heart of execution. Organisations are full of people who want to avoid reality. Reality makes them feel uncomfortable. The mantra is “we don’t want to look bad” or “we want to look better than they do”. What is needed is a “what are you going to do about it” attitude and much more intensity in the review process.
Leaders must create a climate where there are no non-discussables – and where dissent is legitimate. People cannot be expected to be open if they are fearful. If leaders are open and constructive, focused on helping teams to solve problems, others will take the hint and the execution process will benefit.
Execution is not rocket science but it is, quite definitely, a neglected management discipline. Business management education reveres policy making and planning – but execution skills have to be learned on the job.
The cornerstones of execution are simple – but not easy. Managers can get away with ignoring the disciplines for weeks or months, without any obvious sign of problems. But, disaster is never far away.
Management literature admires companies who are regarded as good “examples” of execution – so called models of excellence. Equally, there are companies who serve as “warnings.” If a book is written about your company, make sure your business stands out because it is an example- and not a warning!
