The Importance of Men and Women Making Love
Making love is a very powerful bonding agent. Some men may be afraid of love, especially when they are young and want to “sow their wild oats.”.Personally, I think women get very frustrated with this type of behavior from young men who won’t commit because they are into the next love affair.
Making love is taking both of your souls to a totally different level, almost an out of body experience if it’s truly making love. It happens not only with the physical parts, but the mental ones also, you literally become one in your heart and soul. Making love is usually done between two significant others. You actually are in love and if it gets emotional enough, tears can be shed. Making love is a fun way to crown a happy relationship. It’s one of those bonuses in marriage.Making love is the act of pure unselfishness. It is a complete connection to the other person.
Sex is very emotional, so when you are sleeping with someone you love . When you’re sleeping with someone you just met or don’t know very well there is only the physical aspect of it. Sexual intercourse within marriage is designed to give us a taste of the divine. It involves the total person and brings waves of pleasure as we make love.
Sex has been politicized, criminalized, sensationalized, sold as entertainment, even, in the AIDS crisis, equated with death. Sex is supposed to be super-orgasmic or something’s wrong with you and this magazine, product, or lifestyle will correct it. Sexual playfulness is vital for continuing to experience each other as lovers. We both feel free to be ourselves. Sexuality even between two stangers, can create a case of infatuation. It could be neuro-chemicals and the pleasure association combining to create memories that will perpetuate the attraction.
When it comes to men and women making love theres that special feeling and excitement that’s hard to explain, Women’s sexual response is rather more complicated than men’s. Sure, it’s easy for YOU to know what YOU want – but not for him. Women generally prefer leisurely, playful, whole-body, massage-oriented sensuality that includes the genitals but is not limited to them. Women’s main complaints about men’s sexual style are that it’s too rushed, too mechanical, too eager for intercourse, and that it focuses only on the breasts and genitals. Women get psychologically aroused less quickly. Older men ejaculate less quickly, which seem to give the woman a little longer pleasure.
7 Ways You Can Take Care of Your Heart Health
There was a time when no one thought about their own heart health unless they had a close call. After having chest pains or even a heart attack, a doctor might suggest steps to take and then people would begin to change their lives. Now, it has become increasingly obvious that the time to think about these issues is before problems develop. Here are 7 ways you can begin.
1. Exercise regularly. A regular workout is good for your heart as well as your waistline. You do not have to bench press heavy weights or run marathons. Anything that will elevate your heart rate to a good target level should be sufficient. The right level for good heart health should be somewhere between your resting heart rate and your maximum heart rate. A good rule of thumb is that if you can converse as you exercise, you are not overdoing it.
2. Eat colorful, low-fat meals. Adding color to your meals will give you a lot of nutrition to help you maintain good heart health. If you eat an assortment of colors of vegetables and fruits, you will be getting a variety of vitamins and minerals too. As you concentrate on produce as a key element in your diet, remember that these foods should not be drowned in heavy fats. Accompany them with fish or lean chicken for a low-fat meal.
3. Get good sleep. Getting enough rest is vital to good heart health. A strong correlation seems to exist between a lack of sleep and developing certain heart conditions. It appears that 7 to 8 hours is about right, while 5 or less can be harmful. Even sleeping too much may be a heart risk. Do yourself a favor and get just the right amount of sleep. If you think you have a sleep disorder, this is a great reason to get help with it.
4. Reduce your stress. Stress not only creates problems within your body, such as dangerously elevated levels of certain hormones; it also may contribute to how you manage your other risks. When you are under stress, you are not so focused on what you will eat, how you will exercise, and other habits you might have. You can improve your health by learning to meditate, pray, or just plain relax.
5. Take fish oil supplements. Omega-3 fish oil supplements have been shown to help with certain aspects of heart health. If your triglycerides are high, it can be a precursor to heart problems if not treated. Omega-3 fish oil supplements can lower those triglycerides significantly or keep them at a healthy level. Omega-3 has also been shown to help by reducing arrhythmias and decreasing plaque in the circulatory system.
6. Try garlic supplements. You may or may not decide to use them as a part of your daily regimen. The evidence on whether garlic helps your heart is mixed. It seems to lower blood cholesterol somewhat, and may lower blood pressure. It can be helpful, and many people have seen good results from using it. It is not a dangerous substance by any means so it would not hurt to try.
7. You can get a supplement containing plant sterols. Plant sterols are well known for their ability to maintain low cholesterol levels. They work by imitating cholesterol and preventing its absorption into the body. They can be found added to certain foods or in capsule form as supplements.
It is never too early to think about taking care of your heart. It is important to see your doctor and discuss all the ways you can live a healthy life. Not all methods are suitable for everyone, and only you and your doctor can decide. However, these 7 paths to heart health and wellness are a good place to begin the conversation.
Menopause Anxiety: Tips
Lorraine Roach asked:
Menopause is a natural transition all women experience, as natural as adolescence. However, as I have experienced menopause anxiety, I know that there are many factors that can aid or hinder this transitional time in life. For your grandmother and great-grandmother, life expectancy was shorter. Reaching menopause often meant that their life was nearing an end. But this is no longer true. Today women are living longer—on average, until age 78. How you experience menopause is determined by many factors: attitude, diet, overall health, genetics, and your cultural group. Medical science views menopause as the state of your body after you had completed one full year without having a period. It is most definitely not a disease! By making wise decisions about your menopause and healthy lifestyle, you can make the most of the 20, 30, or more years afterwards!
Attitude
This one factor is the most important part of any change or motivational aspect to a change that we can do for ourselves. If menopause anxiety has appeared in your life, do not fear it but face it head on. You can learn about anxiety and ways to eliminate it by using a method I have had success with. The Regain Your Freedom Technique has been my choice to use with other types of anxiety. Many forms of anxiety stem from the same root cause and can set up a home inside us when we worry, get stressed out for a period of time and develop fear and frustration about our feelings.
Learning to recognize the worries, fears, stress and emotional triggers is one of the stepping stones of The Regain Your Freedom Technique.

Many women report that they are glad to no longer have their monthly periods and all of the hormonal or just physical issues that accompanied their periods. They feel a freedom from having to be concerned about pregnancy and birth control. There is a sense of more energy, and a sense of freedom that comes without the biological drive to be mother, helper, and nurturer. Many women turn their attention to those things in life they have put aside. Some start new careers or businesses. Others take up creative pursuits like photography or painting, while others travel to places they have wanted to see. These women have a positive attitude.
Those women who dread menopause, see it as unnatural, or a sign of old age (and we all get old don’t we!), have more problems enjoying the transition during perimenopause. They report more symptom issues. Negative attitudes result in negative experiences.
Wake-up Call
Everything is magnified, starting in your perimenopause, then continuing on as you make the transition into menopause. Issues you have not reconciled as a woman will surface for you to deal with. Perhaps long overdue lifestyle changes need to be made. Your body is very smart and it will start to purge any “stuffed” emotions. This means the body does not want to carry these negative thought patterns or habits inside anymore. If you have experienced trauma or hurtful experiences—the ones unresolved–they will come up. You will remember incidents you ignored or just could not deal with at the time. These could be reasons for some women to experience menopause anxiety. Maybe you did not have a safe space to work on them. This is the opportunity to let them go. If you understand this purge and welcome it, you will experience an easier transition.
Health issues that have been neglected will also wake-up. Be sure you get thorough check-ups and tests during this time, including dental, vision, heart health, as well as hormones. Health issues are serious to me. I have walked the path of being unhealthy and the path of health. I very definitely choose being healthy. We can implement preventative health. Diet, exercise, clean water, stress management, healthy environment, and no synthetic drugs go a long way in creating and keeping a healthy body.
Spiritual Awakening
You may find that the changes you are making lead you to an awakening spiritually. This happens to many women who welcome this growth. Seek out your local church, take classes in meditation, discover new spiritual thought, or a renewed connection with God. You are a spirit with a body. Approaching your spiritual wellness includes making choices that take care of yourself physically and emotionally.
Proactive Steps
Although menopause is one of the important physical milestones in a woman’s life, many women lack concrete information about what is taking place, and what are the options. It is your right to know your body and be informed. With a proper attitude, diet, nutritional supplements, exercise, and simple lifestyle changes, most of the unpleasant side effects of menopause can be minimized to a great extent. With this knowledge and preparation you can step forward with grace and embrace it!

Cholesterol, What Is It and Why Should I Care What My Levels Are
We often hear the term cholesterol on television, in magazines and from our doctor, but do we really know anything about it?
It is actually a fat-like waxy substance secreted by our liver within our body. It is an important part of every cell in our body and serves certain vital functions, like the following:
Generating hormones in our body
- Maintaining healthy cell walls
- Producing bile acids, that help in fat digestion
- Making Vitamin D.
Of course, it is very important for our body to function well, but at the same time excessive production of this sticky substance results in hardening of the artery walls, which in turn leads to several serious health complications like heart attacks, strokes, etc. This does not mean than having low levels is good for your health. Very low levels can indicate liver cancer, in the worst-case scenario. Therefore, in order to avoid such health complications it is very important to keep your levels under control. A healthy number to aim for is 140-200 milligrams per deciliter of blood.
What most don’t understand, is that age is not necessarily an indication of whether you have a buildup in your artery walls. So, whether you are a young individual or a senior citizen, it is always pertinent that you keep a proper check on your cholesterol level, to ensure good health.
Causes of high cholesterol:
There may be several causes for an individual to develop a higher than normal profile. Some of these causes are avoidable while others are not, but whatever the reason may be, educating yourself about cause and effect gives you a better idea on how to deal with your situation in an appropriate way.
So, let us take a quick look at some of causes that may be a potential reason to throw your body out of balance:
- It may be the result of your aging
- It can be hereditary and passed down from our parents
- Wrong eating habits like consuming high fat foods and trans fats
- Unhealthy habits like consuming more than a moderation of alcohol and smoking cigarettes
Treatments for high cholesterol:
There are millions of people who have this health issue. However, the good news is that cholesterol disorders can be treated; all it takes is some dedication and will power on your part to overcome the situation. Let us take a quick look at how you and your doctor together can effectively increase your cardiovascular health:
- Follow a healthy diet plan. Your diet should include foods that are low on fat and high fiber.
- Exercise regularly. It is also important to follow a proper workout program. That best way to go about it is to consult a professional physical instructor who can design a proper exercise program for you. Doing so will help you get the best results in the most effective way possible.
- Quit unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking and not getting enough sleep.
- Try to reduce your stress if possible. There are many stress reduction courses that you can take or if you prefer you can pick up a book about stress.
- Your doctor may give you a prescription to help regulate and normalize your levels. A statin drug is the usual course of treatment but your doctor may also recommend a non-prescription product.
These are usually made of plant sterols and don’t have the same side effects as statins do. However, it’s best to talk it over with your health care provider and the two of you together can decide together on your best treatment.
In case you are diagnosed with high cholesterol level, make sure that you go to a doctor immediately and get yourself treated at the earliest to avoid future complications. Remember, a proper combination of healthy fat free or low fat diet, exercising and medication is likely to contribute significantly towards improving your health and lowering or raising your personal level.
Charming People and Making Friends
The world can be a lonely place. People are social animals, but in a world where everyone is in a rush and where many people have begun turning to the internet for their social experiences meeting people and making friends has become increasingly hard. Many do not have the skills necessary to make and keep new people around. Here is a list of tips to help make charming people and making friends a little bit easier.
- You cannot make friends from your house, and usually not on the internet, either. Get out of the house and go to a bar, coffee shop, club, etc., or wherever you are most comfortable. A comfortable environment is best because you’ll be less likely to make friends if you aren’t comfortable.
- Before actually talking to someone you should first see if the two of you have common interests. Follow them around for a few days and see what they do and go through their trash. This way you’ll see what they like, where they go, how they interact with others, and see whether or not a friendship with them is possible or even worth your time.
- When talking with new people, stare straight into their eyes and don’t blink. When they ask why you are looking at them like that, simply say “You’re pretty” or “You’re handsome.” Do it with as straight a face as possible so that they know you mean what you say and they’ll appreciate the compliment.
- When someone gives you their phone number, call and text them constantly, at least 50 times a day. This lets them know that you are thinking about them.
- Most people appreciate a good surprise. Go into someone’s house when they should be away or asleep and leave a present next to their bed.
- When you meet someone new, you should check occasionally to see that they are safe. Drive to their place and watch them through their window so that if there is an emergency you will be there to offer immediate assistance. They’ll appreciate the gesture. Make sure that you call and tell them that you are watching, however. You don’t want your new friend freaking out if they see you watching them.
This guy knows what it takes to make friends.
- Above all, don’t get discouraged if you don’t make friends immediately. Not everyone will be receptive to you, but keep trying and you’ll have new friends in no time.
This is by no means an exhaustive list, but hopefully it’ll help you to make and keep new friends. I hope you learned something today.
Help Your Kids Make Friends at High School
As the new school term gets under way, many children entering high school worry about making new friends. Without being in their face, there’s a lot parents can do to help them with this major change in their lives.
Step 1: It may seem obvious, but ENCOURAGE your kids to make friends. Help them see it as a new adventure, something enjoyable and exciting. This will help reduce any fear and anxiety. The more positive and outgoing they are, the better chance they’ll have of meeting and attracting new friends.
?
Step 2: One of the best ways to make new friends in high school is to get involved in clubs and activities. Whether we care to admit it or not, we base our friendships on what we get from others! People who share our interests become our friends; people who have radically different preferences and temperaments don’t become our friends! So when your kids join clubs that suit their interests, they will meet like-minded people. And by doing things together they will forge new bonds.
?
Step 3: Encourage your kids to invite their new friends home, perhaps even staying for a sleepover once the friendship is established. This is a great way of helping your kids develop their social skills. It ensures they are in a safe environment, plus it helps you to monitor the friendships!
?
Step 4: However, try to avoid the common parental trait of being too fussy! Often the type of people WE want as friends for our kids are not the ones they would choose. Be tolerant and less critical. If you become aware of unacceptable attitudes or behaviour, that’s different. By all means let’s HELP our kids by pointing out anything that violates our standards, but hang back if you simply dislike the way someone talks or what they wear or their taste in music! You never know, you may gather valuable insight into what really makes your own kids tick. And remember – it takes all sorts to make the world go round!
?
Step 5: Impress upon your kids that not all friendships last and the teenage years are a time of exploration. Kids tend to develop new interests as the school years progress, and often this leads to the break-up of old friendships and the forging of new ones. It can be upsetting, but it’s a fact of life! Explaining this sympathetically can help your kids be brave and stoical.
?
And finally:
- Comfort your kids when they feel let down by friends. Keep encouraging them to participate in more activities and this will help them find more friends.
- When your kids visit their friends’ homes, make sure you have contact information and know exactly where they are.
Stress and Heart Disease – What is the Link Between Stress and the Heart?
Due to scientific research stress and heart disease are now starting to be linked together. Does stress cause heart disease? According to the British Heart Foundation in the UK:
“Research evidence is beginning to recognize that, for some people at least, stress may contribute towards coronary heart disease.”
They report that evidence is growing to say that stress contributes toward heart problems. But due to the nature of stress and the fact that it is not easy to measure they are not directly able to say whether stress does cause heart disease.
It would seem that it will still be some time before we know for certain whether stress causes heart disease.
Main Risk Factors For Heart Disease?
So what are the main risk factors for heart disease? They are:
• High blood pressure
• High blood cholesterol
• Being overweight
• Diabetes
• Smoking
• Family history of coronary heart disease
So at the moment stress is not seen as a primary cause of heart disease but research has been done to show the following links between the two.
Facts About Stress and the Heart
According to the British Heart Foundation what we know about stress and the heart so far is as follows:
• Stress can affect the heart when it releases certain hormones. The hormones increase blood pressure and can encourage clotting in the arteries.
• Stress can increase the production of cortisol and adrenaline – these are chemicals which produce the fight or flight syndrome and prepare the body for change.
• Research continues to be carried out into what the release of cortisol and adrenaline does to the body – how it can lead to fatty deposits being built up in the arteries, how it can make the blood more likely to clot and can increase blood pressure.
• Stress has a role to play in your attitude or state of mind. This means that instead of thinking what you are doing and the impact your choices are having on your body you choose to take short term solutions which have an adverse impact on your heart. For example, when you are stressed you are more likely to eat less healthily, eat less regularly, drink too much alcohol or coffee, or smoke more than you usually do.
• Research has shown that stress can also discourage you from doing more healthy activities like meditation or physical exercise.
________________________________________
So does stress cause heart disease? It is not clear at the moment as not enough research has been done but evidence is starting to mount that stress and heart disease are linked.
Rather than waiting to see if stress is affecting your health, the best form of cure is preventative. Doing exercise, eating healthily and getting a good night’s sleep will all help towards relaxing you and therefore your heart.

Tips for Finding a Good Weight Loss Program
Lucinda Reynolds asked:
Being overweight is a nightmare that is hard to wake up from. Most people who have become so overweight that they are considered obese find it almost impossible to lose the weight. They will struggle day in and day out with feelings of guilt about what they eat. They will suffer from discrimination and nasty remarks from the “skinny people.” Everyone has an eye on the fat person to see how much he or she eats at a meal. So if you are suffering from obesity or if you are overweight and don’t want to become obese then it is important that you find a weight loss program that you can do and stick to it. Read on to uncover the secrets to finding a great weight loss program that will work for you.
Consider your lifestyle. Do you work long hours? Odd hours? Do you not work, but like to sleep late? Whatever your lifestyle you need to find a weight loss program that fits it. For those of you that work long hours or odd hours, joining a weight loss program that requires you to go to weekly meetings is probably not the best one for you. You need a program that you can do on your own time but is still structured to increase your chance of success.
All successful weight loss programs have one thing in common. Eating more meals throughout the day. Starving yourself is the slow path to weight loss. Eating frequent, small healthy meals will increase your metabolism and help you burn the fat and lose weight. So when looking for a weight loss program, find one that has you eat frequent small meals. Six small meals is best.
Speaking of meals, the best weight loss program will contain simple, easy to cook, meals. I don’t know about you but I am no gourmet cook. How many times have you purchased a weight loss book or program and discovered that the recipes in the book are things that only a gourmet chef could pull off? The best weight loss program will list simple foods that are readily available to everyone. It should also be food that is affordable. It’s no secret that people on a limited budget are the unhealthiest. The reason for this is because foods that are considered junk foods are much cheaper to buy than healthy foods. If you don’t believe me do a comparison shopping sometime. The results may surprise you.
This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to finding a great weight loss program that will work for you. But it is a great place to start. Don’t let your weight get out of control and don’t let it control your life. Make a firm commitment today to start on your weight loss journey. Set small goals for weight loss each week and work to achieve them. When you start to see progress, you will be more motivated to keep going. Just remember, there is no one weight loss program that will fit everyone’s lifestyle. You just have to find the one that is right for you.
